She holds a degree in Communication from the University of Potchefstroom, which laid the groundwork for a varied career in journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, photography, graphic design, and brand marketing. Throughout her professional journey, writing has remained an essential aspect of her work. After settling in Chile with her French husband, she dedicated herself to writing full-time, finally fulfilling her passion. Since 2011, Charmaine has published numerous novels and short stories, earning recognition for two of her short stories selected for an anthology by the International Literary Society, celebrating the African continent's literary talent.
